The Voces Armónicas Unidas por la Diversidad Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project aims to combat discrimination and promote intercultural dialogue through the transformative power of music and art. Organized under the Erasmus+ framework, this initiative brought together 30 young participants aged 18-30 from Spain, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, and Turkey, who possess skills in music, singing, or media production.
The project addressed pressing issues such as xenophobia, racism, and prejudice against minority groups like the LGBTI community, African and Afro-descendant populations, and the Roma community. Through non-formal education activities, participants explored concepts of culture, stereotypes, discrimination, and ecological sustainability. They also used music as a tool to foster intercultural dialogue, build teamwork, and inspire creative expression.
The project envisioned a wide-reaching impact, including heightened awareness of discrimination, enhanced cultural appreciation, and increased participation in Erasmus+ opportunities. By leveraging music and intercultural activities, this initiative empowered young people to combat prejudice, promote diversity, and build inclusive communities.
