Youth Boards Games for Gender Equality

The project “Youth Boards Games for Gender Equality” (2023-1-FR02-KA152-YOU-000147518), coordinated by Young Lions of Lyon, aims to address gender inequality among young people aged 18-30 from four partner organizations in Turkey, Germany, Greece, and Spain. The project focuses on raising awareness about the causes and impacts of gender inequality and promoting proactive roles in combating it.

Key objectives include educating participants on gender equality issues, fostering communication among youth from different countries, and using board games as a tool for increasing community awareness. The project also emphasizes the development of critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills among participants. Additionally, it aims to increase engagement in Erasmus+ programs and youth mobility opportunities.

Activities involve non-formal education (NFE) related to gender inequality, with participants creating board games to promote gender equality.

Expected impacts include:

  • Local: Development of participants’ skills, increased tolerance, creation of new leaders, and improved English proficiency.
  • Regional/National: Increased public support for non-formal education, awareness of gender inequality, and better project management skills.
  • European/Global: Encouragement of intercultural communication, support for youth activism, and the international implementation of non-formal educational approaches to gender inequality.

The project seeks to foster a sense of tolerance, respect, and advocacy for gender equality, utilizing board games as an innovative tool for change.
