
The project “Formation Aux Compétences Écologiques Pour L’organisation D’activités Durables Pour Les Jeunes Et D’initiatives De Sensibilisation À L’environnement” is a youth worker mobility initiative, funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ program. Led by Mirage France, the project runs from October 1, 2024, to October 8, 2024, with partners from Turkey, Serbia, Spain, Latvia, and Hungary.
Objectives:
The project focuses on equipping youth workers with essential green skills to address environmental challenges such as climate change, waste management, and sustainable agriculture. The goals include:
- Enhancing youth workers’ skills in sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental practices.
- Promoting the creation of impactful workshops, campaigns, and community projects for youth.
- Developing soft skills such as communication, creativity, and intercultural competence.
- Fostering international collaboration and improving networking for local and global projects.
Activities:
The training course will engage 24 youth workers over 7 days, with the following activities:
- Day 1-2: Team-building, project introductions, and assessing green skills.
- Day 3-4: Focus on sustainability practices, including composting, water conservation, and sustainable sourcing.
- Day 5-6: Renewable energy, waste management, and creating awareness campaigns and community projects.
- Day 7: Presentation of digital booklets to local beneficiaries.
Impact:
The project aims to improve local and regional sustainability efforts by empowering youth workers with practical skills. It will increase community engagement on environmental issues and improve the quality of informal learning. At a broader level, it will inspire youth workers across Europe to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to the Erasmus+ program’s objectives, enhancing organizational capacities and international collaboration.
